Look, I don't have enough ego or time to personally try every restaurant and then create a list of the BEST PLACES TO EAT IN ROME or the TOP FIVE HOTELS IN SEOUL. I mean, who says you and I like the same food? Or enjoy the same kind of lodging? For real, how is a "definitive" list even decided? I can't even tell you the best places to eat in MY OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, and I live here. These are ever-changing landscapes, fueled by opinions, hubris and sometimes ad dollars. What I can tell you, though, is how I came to choose a destination, how I narrowed down my itinerary and where I slept, ate and wandered and whether I'd recommend it or not.
